Scott Weinstein is a critically acclaimed, multi-award winning director, creative director and producer of new and existing work for theatre and live events. His work has been seen internationally and at major theaters around the United States. He recently developed and directed the national tour of Million Dollar Quartet Christmas (which ran for 3 years), produced by Madison Wells Media, and was the Resident/Associate Director for the Broadway National Tour, Las Vegas, and Chicago productions of Million Dollar Quartet, a show which he has also directed around the country and for Norwegian Cruise Lines since 2015.

As a theatre director Scott has been nominated for 7 Joseph Jefferson awards for best director, winning twice, most recently for his newly conceived "chamber version" of Ragtime, which was nominated for 10 Awards, winning 4 - including Best Director and Best Production. Favorite credits include Into The Woods at Pittsburgh CLO starring Carolee Carmello and Patti Murin, the regional premiere of Something Rotten (Marriott Theatre); Disney’s Little Mermaid and Rock of Ages (Drury Lane Theatre); The North American Premiere of David Greig’s Solaris; Titanic and Ragtime (Griffin Theatre - Jeff Award); She Kills Monsters (Steppenwolf/Buzz22 Chicago); Noises Off and Becky Shaw (Windy City Playhouse); Rent (Theo Ubique - Jeff Award), South Pacific and Beautiful (The Rev Theatre), World Premieres of Kooman and Dimond’s The Break (Constellation Stage) and The Enlightenment of Percival Von Schmaltz (Adirondack Theatre Festival)

He’s currently developing and directing the new musicals We Ain’t Ever Gonna Break Up which premiered at Phoenix Theatre Company and has major productions planned, Marvin Makes Music, adapted from Marvin Hamlisch’s acclaimed children’s book, and That’s All Folks a theatre/animation hybrid alongside writer Noel Carey (Death Becomes Her). He has developed new work commercially and at Pittsburgh CLO, The American Music Theatre Project, The Marriott Theatre, Route 66 Theatre, Porchlight Theatre, Village Theatre, Norwegian Creative Studios and others.

Scott is also the Founder and Creative Director of the production company Scootland Live, where he develops and produces live theatrical events and branded content. He has created and directed Bring Back The 90’s for Norwegian Cruise Lines (Spring 2025), Rock ’n Roll Remix for Oceania (Allura in summer 2025) and (with Chance Michael Wall) the hit show, Broadway Unplugged (Norwegian Getaway and Regent Grandeur).
